COLLEGIATE INTERNSHIP

Noire Online Magazine is hiring editorial interns to write articles,  execute social media campaigns and gain knowledge of working with a professional media organization. We offer the opportunity for interns to earn academic credit.

Our requirements:

• Must be a Journalism, Mass Communications, or English majors
• Must be interested in news writing, feature writing, and editing
• Must be willing to write articles as assigned
• Must be able to submit all assigned stories on deadline and written to quality standards
• Must understand social media promotion and marketing

Your responsibilities:

• Write stories that reflect the Black experience in the areas of family, health and wellness, beauty/fashion, food, and other areas
• Stay abreast of the latest news and events nationally, but also in your local/metro area
• Understand newsworthiness and the importance of keeping deadlines
• Identify potential stories and features that resonate with audiences
• Promote your articles to relevant audiences via social media

The interns selected for this opportunity will gain invaluable experience while building a solid portfolio of articles and social media campaigns. Candidates should be motivated, knowledgeable about journalism and writing, and understand the importance of maintaining accuracy when facing a deadline.
